Music:Mcivercork - Stick around.

well, what can i say. The first Krispy Kremes outside of america is where...thats right, Western Sydney. At the foot of the Blue Mountains. Thats right. North Sydney? no way. Inner west? not a chance. South Sydney? get real....
But lets be a bit more serious now. What is Krispy Kremes anyway? what is it doing here? And why have they located it at the foot of the beautiful Blue Mountains? well, to answer these questions fully would take more megabytes than Live Journal could handle, but i'll give a breif run down. Krispy Kreme is, in a nutshell, the greatest donut shop Australia has ever seen. Perhaps the all time greatest shop in this wide brown land. I guess i should clarify, because its really only the Good parts of Aussie that have expereinced it. ie, The Beautiful Blue Mountains.
actually, i have had enough of writing this. Me and andrew just got back from a trip to Krispy Kremes so i was inspired to write about it, but just one second ago i got over it. To lazy. It is very good though. great donuts. actually we have a bit of a story.
It all started when we spotted in the shop that there was these silly free hats whcih you could take. Sorta sailor/chef hats with Krispy Kreme written on it. So, of course, we took one each. Actually there was three of us, as andrew cork was with us to. So we all donned these great hats, ate our donuts and headed off to our next destination; Koorong Christian Book shop in Penrith. (we where looking even more like quite a bunch of gooses, as we also all had sydney uni jumpers on). Anyway, we wandered around the shop for a while, and out of the blue this girl just comes and asks, "so, do you guys know how to get to Krispy Kremes from here?" (bit of a silly question...)Anyway, we obligingly told her then wandered off to laugh about the matter with some other people we knew that we had just spotted. We where discussing the attention the hats attracted and then, right on cue a lady pops around the corner and asks (we had never seen her before) "hey, when do you guys shut?". For the fist couple of moments all she got was blank looks till we realised that she thought we all worked at Krispy Kremes!! well...cracked us up anyway...we just laughed at her for a minute then told her the truth.
and then, just as we where leaving the shop, these girls came up and said "hey do you guys work at krispy kreme? if so, how about a date?"
ok, thats not true, but i just thought i'd try to make our story funnier, as it wasnt really all that funny without it. or with it for that matter... Anyway, thats the end of story, and end of this update i think.
anyway. hope every one is well.
ciao,
Robby.
ps, please forgive any typing/spelling mistakes i made in this small essay, cause i cant be bothered fixing them. I can barely be bothered pressing the 'update journal' button.

Music:none, again. But i am thinking about Powderfinger

heard a good thing the other day, when we went to hear Don Carson speak. He said a few good things (he is known for it i guess...) but one of the best was that we should be "meditating on the scriptures, Day and Night". When i think about that, and compare it to my personal bible/prayer life, i get majorly humbled.
thats all.

well...uummm...hey guys.
live journal hey...I am sorry about teasing it so much before guys. I really do like it. And the Goo goo dolls too; yeah, they are cool!
Anyway. It is quite late, and i am quite tired so i dont think i can be bothered writing any more. Story of my life really. This first post has been a bit of a anti-climax for me, so i'll try to do better next time. ciao.
